The California Community College Educational system is the largest in the world with over 1.5 million students enrolled. The system includes 108 campuses with 71 districts spread throughout the state. Students from every ethnic, social and age group utilize the vast variety of educational opportunities available to them.

Within the system approximately 60 colleges offer programs in agriculture, horticulture or natural resource management. About 18 schools have comprehensive agriculture programs that offer courses in Agriculture Business Management, Animal Science, Forestry, Ornamental Horticulture/Floriculture, Ag Technology, Plant Science, Dairy Science, Equine Science, Viticulture and other specialty courses in agriculture.

California Agriculture is the leading economic entity of the state and over 40,000 students are enrolled in agriculture programs gaining the valuable skills needed by the industry. California Community College Agriculture programs offer open door, industry driven, technological programs that employers are seeking in qualified applicants. Community college programs are geared to certificate, degree or transfer students or those individuals seeking the upgrading of current skills for their industry.
